The forthcoming IPL 5 season is the right time to catch the bugs live feels Nokia and launches the campaign right ahead as the IPL auction hits the media headlines.
The campaign will run around users who download ‘Fun2Shoot’ app from Nokia Store to their devices to stream the live content they shoot with their Nokia devices.
Though the campaign is not exclusively about cricket, it will target Kolkata Knight Raider fans and related activities, since the team is sponsored by Nokia and is owned by one of their Indian brand ambassador film star Sharukh Khan.
Though Nokia found an 87 percent growth in its revenue from India from a year to year period last time, its market among the 18 to 25 group has eroded recently with its inability to keep floating with the onslaught of Android and more updated platforms.
The campaign is expected to give them leverage among the youth especially with the launch of successful Windows Phone devices in the Lumia series. The Fun2Shoot app is available on Windows Phone Market place also.
Apart from keeping the spirit up for the IPL fans through the campaign, Nokia is also offering the participants in the campaign a chance to host a ‘Nokia-Kolkata Knight Raiders’ Chill Party’.

4G networks to hit India by mid 2012, Huawei eyes the 4G Indian market

India is going to get the taste of faster 4G networks in a matter of months, when private players like Reliance Communications are planning to roll out it in select Indian cities by mid -2012.
Finding it the best time to make a reap, Chinese telecommunication equipment maker Huawei is now preparing to focus more on its Indian operations, prior to the launch of fourth generation telecommunication networks in the country.
However, it is ironic that the firm is finding India as one its major markets and going to escalate their operations both by increasing the man power and investment.

Huawei is infamous for its alleged links with Chinese military’s covert operations. The alleged links have resulted in major western markets turning hostile towards this Chinese player recently.
Huawei was not allowed to continue their acquisition programme of two US companies by the US government citing security issues recently.
Similarly, Australian government has turned down Huawei’s request to submit tender to the National Broadband Network (NBN) Project due to the same reason.
Huawei already has a moderate presence in India right from the time when the country has rolled out its 3G networks. They have clinched equipment supply deals from major Indian players like Tata to take a lucrative pie of the Indian telecommunication market.
Huawei now enjoys a 46 percent share in the telecoms equipment market in India which helped them amass $1.2 billion last year. Outside China, their biggest R & D firm is in the IT hub of Bangalore.
India, strategically consider China as the biggest looming threat with frequent unreported skirmishes at the Indian border. At this instance, it is yet to see that if the alleged military links play bad for Huawei in its Indian dreams too.
